Family Time -

Last night Erin and I were taking a walk around the ‘hood, and talking about how to make sure we are raising a “Gospel centered” family.
It’s super important to us that our family doesn’t fall into a compartmentalized kind of faith, but rather that it directs how we live each day.
Went in to renew my account at the gym yesterday…never a good sign when the lady behind the counter laughs at how long it’s been since I last visited.
-Links to ponder-

Yesterday was an interesting day to say the least. With a ton of differing reactions to the top headline swirling around the globe…I found myself at times conflicted as to how I should feel and react in response to the news that Osama Bin Laden had been killed.
I found myself examining my heart and emotions to make sure that they are a projection of the life I’m called to lead, based on my faith in Jesus. With that in mind, I did quite a bit of reading of Bible verses that might help me sort some of it out, as well as dissecting other’s opinions on the matter…
Here are a few of the articles/links that I’ve read in response to how people think faith should shape our reaction to Bin Laden’s death.

So, any thoughts as to how we should react?
This is when it gets tough…

Shortly after the Superbowl was in the rear view mirror, our satellite dish found itself in the same place (not literally of course, I only throw banana peels and peanut shells out of my car window). In the months since we stopped paying for dish service, I have to say I haven’t really missed it. Erin and I occasionally watch an episode of one of our favorite shows on-line, and I watched a few minutes of the final four from there as well, but for the most part I’ve been okay with no T.V….until now.
You see the NBA play-offs begin this weekend, and by beloved Lakers are scheduled to play a Nationally televised game on Sunday. I’ve known since early February that this day was coming, but now I have some extremely tough choices to make (cue dramatic music from a movie like gladiator).
Do I gut it out and suffer through the highlight reels/articles of games gone by?
Do I bite the bullet and shackle myself to the dish once again?
Do I try and find a fellow Laker fan nearby with cable and a comfortable couch?
Do I wait to see if the Lakers actually make it to the finals?
I know…that was a stupid question, of course they’ll make it.
Choices.
Here’s a cool & insightful video from K-Nuff of Rhema Soul. K-Nuff discusses how God works through processes.
